The Chester County Health Department issues well permits and on-lot septic permits.
For new permits, visit the CCHD website, e-mail cchd [at] chesco.org (cchd[at]chesco[dot]org), or call 610-344-6225.
If you need to request a copy of an existing permit:
- Requests for sewage and well permits from 2000 to present can be made using this link: https://energovprod.chesco.org/energov_prod/SelfService#/search. Select “Permit” from the dropdown to the right of the word “Search”, then put the UPI (Tax Parcel Number) in the search box. You may also search by permit number if you know it.
- Requests for sewage and well permits issued prior to 2000 can submit the form located at this link: https://chesco.seamlessdocs.com/f/FileLookup
